The installation and use of a patented, model-based, Predictive Emission Monitoring System (PEMS) provides a regulatory certifiable, cost effective solution as an alternative to a hardware CEMS. A software-based continuous emission monitoring system does not require additional capital equipment investment, making it a cost savings solution. A scalable software-based application demonstrates inherent safety advantages in hazardous, corrosive and confined environments. There are no special hardware enclosures or potentially dangerous calibration gases required with a software-based continuous emission monitoring system. A software-based continuous emission monitoring system utilizes powerful analytic models with automatic routines for model and real-time sensor validation to predict emission values with unsurpassed accuracy. These composite models incorporate the effects of process and ambient conditions on emissions to ensure a robust PEMS for years to come. The ability to obtain long term reliability and accuracy is a function of sustainable software models without the physical degradation that hardware systems experience on a daily basis.
