摘要

The runoff of rainwater from chemical and petrochemical facilities can impact our environment as well as the health and safety of humans and animals. For this reason it is important to develop reliable and accurate analysis systems with detector technologies that can capture and quantify the amount of oil-based pollution in rainwater runoff.rnThis paper describes a system that has been supplied to monitor runoff from installations in Central America, based on a fiber optic in situ probe that measures oil concentration using the principle of Ultraviolet Fluorescence.
