The concept of just-in-time mixed-model assembly line is basically based on moving assembly of conveyor system, which characterizes from Ford system. It is to assemble different models in the same assembly line which to achieve the goal of mass production and also to satisfy the customer's needs at the same time. From the most of the researches concerning about mixed-model assembly, there are two problems are pointed out and should be resolved when planning a mixed-model assembly line -- line balancing and sequencing.
