The setup operations at a machining center are usually conducted on a pallet with the skilled worker's experience. An unskilled worker is needed to train, in order to efficiently do the setup operations. This paper describes a scientific training methodology of the setup operations for unskilled workers. The characteristics of the computer aided training system constructed in this paper is to pursue the ideal operations called the optimum setup operations. With the actual use of this system, the abilities for setup operations of unskilled workers are enhanced.
