The aim of the present article is to present the different types of traffic management plans thatrnthe Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT) has developed within the framework of thernEuro-regional projects ARTS and SERTI and the importance of the information that thernintelligent transport systems installed in the road network provided.rnIn the first part of the article there is an introduction to traffic management plans and arndefinition of the different plan types that the DGT has currently. Next, the ITS systems havernbeen described as well as the importance of information integration. Finally, the conclusionsrnof the work carried out have been presented.
