摘要

We have developed the parking assist system, which has the additional functions that canrncalculate the turning radius and the camera parameters. The turning radius is expressed as thernpower function of steering rotation angle. We determined the coefficients of the powerrnfunction without measuring actual vehicles. Nine camera parameters, including lens distortionrnfactors, can be determined by setting the cursors to the base point on the monitor. Because thernparking assist system itself has the ability to execute these functions, the results of therncalculation can be directly applied for drawing trajectories. Hence the system informs andrnhelps the driver to accomplish easy parking.
