Head-Up Display (HUD) is a unit that presents visual information to a driver, in which thernvehicle's windshield is used as a display. One of the advantages of HUD is that a driverrnneeds little eye movement and refocusing to look at the information. Some vehicle modelsrnhave already installed HUD in recent years. In the past HUD was used to provide mainlyrnvehicle information, such as driving speed and warnings, but now it also provides simplifiedrnnavigation image maps and so-called "Night View", which provides front view assistancernwith an infrared image after dark.rnIn this paper, we would like to report future perspectives for HUD, as a safety display unitrnwith emphasis on display items and display method.
