摘要

A model is described which allows one to pose and solve mathematical problems associated with viscous flows in domains with piecewise smooth boundaries in a regular way. The singularities inherent in the conventional approach are removed by incorporating the interface formation-disappearance process in the boundary conditions for the Navier-Stokes equations. The model is illustrated by considering the moving contact-line problem and the free-surface cusp problem as particular examples.
