Various aspects of EB flue gas treatment, including an outline of R&D in Japan, the requirements placed on electron accelerators and methods of dosimetry have been outlined. Gradual enlargement of the scale in demonstration plant has been performed and the usefulness in environmental conservation is apparent. Further progress related to electron accelerator design such as enlargement of beam output power, stability in long time continuous operation, low running cost and low price is important for future practical applications of this technology. Some experiences about dosimetry were described here. It is hoped that this report may contributes to further progress in this field.
