A legacy system is difficult to maintain, but usually critical to the business of its owner. A compromise resolving the problem is to reengineer the system. Most reengineering models existing now cannot cope with those large complicated legacy systems whose requirements are modified frequently. For this reason, we provide an Evolutional Model of Legacy System Reengineering. We have used this reengineering model in a legacy system reengineering project, and have proved its effectiveness and usefulness
