Crazy top of corn, caused by sclerophothora macrospora Thirum., SHaw & Naras., is a new occuring corn disease in the corn productio area fo the northern China in recent years. An abundance of oospores of S.macrospora embedded in the foliate abnormal tassels, bracteal leaves and leaves of corn, especially in the tissues close to ears. The dormancy rate of oospores declined from 84.28
