Coherent intersatellite links require laser sources with high stability of frequency and polarization.We present a MOPA (Master Oscillator Power Amplifier) system which consits of a stable single frequency nd: YAG laser,a high speed phase modulator and a Nd-doped fiber ampliofier.In particular,we report the design and experimental results of a diode laser pumped, double-clad fiber amplifier with polarization contorl,20 dB gain and about 1 W output power.We have also investigated the relevant noise properties ofr coherent detection.
