A first analysis of the data has indicated a number of strategies, developed by the subjectsin order to optimize their subjective well being as to noise exposure in their domesticenvironments. Noise and noise effects were described in detail, and reflected with respectto their interfering and annoying influence on certain activities and daily routines. Herecould be found a close relatedness to psychoacoustically relevant evaluations, referring, forinstance, to specific noise qualities, such as characteristic features of the development andtemporal course of noise, or to psychoacoustic parameters, e.g. loudness, sharpness, orroughness.
