摘要

WWW (World Wide Webster), or Web-system is a multimedia system enabling its users to transfer hypertext documents exploitable for collecting information in many fields by means of the client/server principle. The use of the Internet is influenced by web pages quality, as well as by the user's skills and by the technology. In some cases, the users may be senior people or people with lower education who have insufficient experience of this media type, therefore it is essential to process the required information in a user friendly and easily accessible format. The aim of this contribution is to describe the Internet pages in terms of their utilization by a non-experienced user. The criteria for assessment have been used enabling the user to search for the required information at selected websites of labour offices in the Czech and Slovak Republic.
