The approach of producing a MOOC on Nuclear Safety Culture within ANNETTE H2020 EURATOM project is an opportunity to accomplish a variety of interesting objectives. In the nuclear sector innovation in education is needed. Facts like the retirement of experienced personnel, the generational gap and the need to capture talented students and professionals is motivating the use of new educational tools and methodologies. In this context MOOCs, and the flexibility of NOOCs offer interesting possibilities. Nuclear Safety Culture is a transversal discipline, and a strategic driver for all nuclear organizations, so the design of a MOOC divided in four independent NOOCs will allow the flexible participation, interaction and learning experience of professionals from the nuclear sector, from other industries, master students, and young talented students and professionals. The use of Learning Analytics and other studies based on the hypotheses made during the design phase of the course will give us valuable results on the MOOC impact.
