We find that,under poor solvent conditions,semiflexible polymer chains grazed at densitiesrnwithin the“mushroom”regime should form micellar structures with varying topologies.Dernpending upon the length and rigidity of the chains we find that towers or doughnuts are thernpreferred configuration.Our results are valid for stiff chains which pay a penalty for bendingrnand for which elongations and undulations are small.Experimentally the micelles ought tornbe observable via surface force microscopy.although our predictions mav be confounded byrneffects such aS chain entanglement.
