摘要

This paper investigates the effect of partial shear connection on the behaviour of composite joints. By varying the degree of shear concention it is possible to alter cretain bhavioural prperties such as stiffness, strength and ductility of the joint. Two full-scale web side plate composite joints were fabricated and tested, using the standard cruciform testing procedure, which represented full and partial shear connection respectively. Investigation into the influence of partial shear connection on the composite behaviour in the location of the joint region has been minimal. Comparisons are made between the theoretical and exerimental results obtained concrening servicability, strength and rotational requirements. Futhermore, predictions of stiffness, strength and ductility of the joint ar also made.
