This paper discusses seismic response analysis of asymmetric structures with centre of mass uncertainty. In order to account for an accidental torsion, the eccentricity of the centre of mass is veried and dynamic analysis is then conducted. In this case it is not necessary to calculate the centre of rigidity which is usally done in static analysis. In the analysis, the bulding is modelled as a structure composing of three-dimensional elemental elementsconnected with a rigid floor as a diaphragm. The responses of earthquale resisting elements at certain locations that represent elements nearby and far from the centre of mass loaction are then observed. The results may be used for the estimation of the increase in the internal forces due to the additional torsion.
