Abstract: In a limited series of patients, different types of delivery systems for the carbon dioxide laser were evaluated for their clinical efficiency and practicability. The spectrum of disease submitted to laser surgery ranged from recurrent paranasal sinus polyposis to M. Osler. The systems used were an operation microscope with micromanipulator, a handpiece, two rigid, tubular waveguides and one recently developed flexible waveguide. The characteristics of each instrument are discussed, and so are the indications for endonasal laser surgery. !17
