摘要

This apper presents a computer simulation model for unsteady flow in canal system. It is applicable for any nonbranching canal system in either regular or irregular cross section and with commonly encountered hydraulic structures (sluice gate, weir and pump). With this model, the performance of a canal system can be simulated for specified operations of various hydraulic structures or control algorithm. The model is written in Visual Basic 5.0 and can be run under Windows 95 or higher operation system. A friendly user's interface as well as error checks for data input and computation is provided. IT can be used as a tool for canal design, analysis of canal operation and control algorithm. The model was applied to an upstream controlled canal system to illustrate its use.
