High sulfur petroleum coke is a kind of industry waste. There are some advantages for burning this waste in circulating fluidized bed (CFB). In this paper, some advice is put forward according to basic combustion characters of petroleum coke and some engineering experience on burning petroleum coke. This is useful in designing and running of the petroleum coke boilers.
