This paper presents an improved synchronous rectification circuit in Active-clamp Forward converter. With the auxiliary winding drive circuit, efficient gate driving voltage will be achieved with a wide input voltage range. The proposed self-driven synchronous rectification circuit will eliminate the body diode conduction loss and obtain the optimal gate driving signals. An Active-clamp Forward converter employing the improved synchronous rectification circuit is implemented to verify the theoretical analysis. The experimental results match the theoretical analysis very well.
