Northeast Asia refers to the northeast Euro-Asian continent, including East Siberia and Far East area in Russia, Mongolia, most part of China, Korea peninsular, Japan and the continental shelves of some countries above. With abundant natural gas resources and various types of basins, the area becomes a new gas bearing region with dominant development of paleo-cratonic inherited basins and late island arc associated basins.
