Recent advances in relational database managementsystems (RDBMS), network computing, web andinternet technology and telecommunication areutilized to design an RDBMS to handle geothermaldata. This effectively addresses data managementproblems typical in a mature geothermal operationsuch as the massive data quantity from remotediffuse databases, non-homogeneous data types andformats, multiple users at various locations, andaccessibility and speed. A system is developedwhich combines thin software clients with powerfulweb-enabled data and application servers to functionin a distributed workgroup computing environment.The system serves as an effective tool for geothermalreservoir and resource management.
