Ozonation can be applied on natural ressorces, as a pretreatment before ultrafiltration to produce drinking water. The effect of ozonation on the flux (increase or decrease of the membrane permeability) is greatly depending on the ressouce water quality and on the applied ozone dose. However, in all cases, a benefic effect on the produced water quality is obtained.
