The conservation of archaeological glass is approached with an understanding as to the eventual disposition of the glass, either in storage, museum display, research or publication. Cleaning and stabilization is undertaken with minimal intervention and preventive conservation in mind. The acrylic copolymer Acryloid B-72 is recommended as the adhesive for the reassembly of fragments. The long-term preservation of glass depends on a variety of factors, the most important of which, is a controlled storage environment.
