摘要

In summary, the Community Design Team process, while potentially adding time and cost to the project up-front, will save in the long run. By having those who will live near and use the project in the future (and are thus most impacted by it) provide direction to the County on design parameters and taking ownership in the project, an overall savings will be realized as elected officials will not hear repeated calls of concern and most likely will not be faced with the prospect of stopping the project. Often, those who are most opposed to a project at first will begin to decide that doing something is better than doing northing, and will then become involved with helping design the project to lessen its impact on them and make it more attractive for them.
