The fish-hook effect in air classifier is studied in this paper. It is found that agglomeration is the main origin of the fish-hook effect. Based on the former model of air classifying process, a revised model is given to simulate the fish-hook effect, and a theoretical formula is developed. Finally, it also analyses the factors which can affect the shape of the fish-hook.
