Multiple-pore SiO_2 powder was prepared from water-glass and HCl through the process of adding the surfactant. The surface area of samples was more than 1000m~2/g; the grain size was about 0. 1μm. The effects of the amount of surfactant and the concentration of reactants on the properties of products were studied. BET, XRD, SEM and some other experiment methods were used to investigate (he structure and other physical properties of the sample.
