摘要

This work is concerned with the modeling and calcualtions method of the reactor vessel auxiliary cooling system in pool type liquid metal fast breeder reactors. This system liquid metal fast breeder reactors. This system should be capable of removing the residual heat generated in the reactor core after shutdown. In this system ,and upward air flow is induced by buoyancy forces caused by the density differnece of the air surroundign the reactor vessel. The results from these calculations showed good agreement with the reactor manufacturers data (General Electric, Rockwell International).
