摘要

In this paper, efforts on the acoustical measuremens of material properties of fiber reinforced composites such as graphite epoxy using oblique incidence techniques will be discussed. Both, direct as well as inverse methods were used in this effort. Optimal parameters were chosen from the direct approach. Then, genetic algorithms will be introudced to compute the material properties from the experimental data using phase velocity measurements at specific incident and aximuthal angles. Sensitivity as well as accuracy of the techniques are also presented.
