There has been an increasing need for a reliable and high flux and monoenergetic neutron source facility for radiographic applicatiosn both in basic research and industry. The neutron generator based on D-T reaction is a prolific source of 14 MeV neutrons which can be suitably moderted for providing a collimated beam of thermal neutrons. The main features of the D-T generator incorooraing major changes in size reductionfor converting it into a mobile unit is disucssed. Structural details regarding ion source, accelerator design and tritium target system is highlighted.
