By varying some of the structural parameters of the hydrocyclone for de-oil separation, a pre-separation hydrocyclone, which can be used for disposing the sewage with an oil-cut up to 20 percents, is developed. Field test shows that, while the split ratio F=1.3 Ci (the inlet oil-cut), the separating efficiency of the hydrocyclone can reach 97 percents, the oil-cut of the sewage after being disposed can be less than 0.5 percents, and the pressure can be left 0.35 MPa, which can meet the demands of oilfield production. If it is used in offshore oilfield, tremendous economic and social benefits will be obtained.
