The hydrogen fuel cell is one of the most attractive energy conersion technologies for zero-emission vehicles. This zero emission transportation soluton, is considered to be essential for achieving dramatic reductions in current levels of local air pollution, the pgrowing urban areas of the world. Rapid progress is being made around the world in developing fuel cells, and the electric vehicles to use them. Some of these technologies have progressed into the feld demonstration phase, and commercializatioinis being targeted for early in the next decade.
