In order to achieve a direct reduction of the emission of CO_2 in the Netherlands, experiments are being carried out to determine the maximum percentage of hydrogen which can be blended with the natural gas which is presently distributed throughout the Netherlands. The results of this investigation will be combined with a study on the economic and technical feasibility of producing hydrogen from natural gas through plasma technology, by way of the Arbon Black & Hydrogen process.
