摘要

This paper describes the computer modelling of the suppression of liquid pool fires using fine watersprays and compares the numerical predictions to experimental data. For the modelling, the Computational Fluid Dynamcis model, TASCflow, is used. The model calcualtes the combustion of the liquid fuel in a compartment, the injection and flow of the fine water droplets in the compartment and the interaction between the water droplets and the hot gases.
