摘要

This paper deals with two-dimensional simulation of natural convection within a square porous cavity heated from bellow. Only single-cell solutions of this porous Bennard-like convection problem are considered. Two discretization schemes are employed for comparison purposes: the Power-law scheme, that approaches the simple exponential scheme, and a new discretization scheme, UNIFAES, modified according to the same approximation rule of the Power-law. Results indicate the superior accuracy of UNIFAES as the Rayleigh number increases.
