It is of crucial importance to Egypt and most of the developing countries to make fundamental changes in the energy policies to comply with environmental requirements in order to ensure sustainable path for development. Without environmentally sound energy policies, the production and consumption of energy could be major sources of emissions of carbon dioxide leading potentially to global climate change in addition to other local adverse environmental impacts of negative effects on human health.
