Iron pyrite (FeS_2) films were grown by sulfurization of sprayed iron oxide films. These films have been used as photoanodes in photoectrochemical cells. For FeS_2/Ag Schottky barriers, the barrier height of approx 0.55 eV was determined from I-V characteristics. Both the devices were found to be photoactive.
