In Japan, ETC (Electronic Toll Collection）System started. Moreover, various measures andactivities are under way for the promotion of ITS. These ITS services use DSRC (DedicatedShort Range Communications) method with point-to-point and broadcast communicationmode in some spot zones. To realize multiple applications using DSRC, “Multicast (groupbroadcast)”and “Handover” functions are useful and needed over ITS networks.This paper reports on study of ITS services and DSRC network architecture for multicastservices.
