摘要

Traffic management is a hard task for the number of constraints and targets involved. Themarket offers a wide range of simulation tools to work out specific problems and help thetraffic engineer in the decision making process. The A.S.I.A. platform, developed within theframework of the European Esprit Project, provides an environment for the simulation toolsintegration aimed at supporting - in the Road Traffic Domain - the planning, design andmanagement of actions improving the traffic conditions. The Genoa Mobility Transport andParking directorate has been testing such platform and its impact on its traffic managementmethodology.This paper deals with the application of the A.S.I.A. platform in the city of Genoa and thebenefits expected from a single environment where the single tools are organically integrated.
