This paper focuses on the Dedicated Short-Range Communications (DSRC) Standards in Europe(CEN) and on world-wide international level (ISO) and Electronic Fee Collection (EFC) systems basedon these standards, with regard to: motorway operator and driver (user) requirements, physicalcompatibility of the DSRC equipment, DSRC standard conformance testing, and countries in whichcommercial installations already exist / will exist in the near future.
