Optimization of a rougher-scavenger-cleaner gravity concentration circuit is investigated using the MODSIM flowsheet simulator. The gravity separation units are Reichert cones having 4DSV stacks in the rougher and scavenger and a 2DSVSV.DSV stack in the cleaner. Both configurational and parametric optimization is considered. The optimum grade recovery curve for the plant is established.
