In this study, cationic emulsions were prepared with varying composition of 3β[N-(N',N'-dimethylaminoethane)carbamoyl]-cholesterol (DC-Choi), dioleoylphosphatidylethanolamine (DOPE), caster oil and Tween 80 and their transfection efficiency was evaluated in vivo. Compared to cationic liposomes, cationic emulsions were more stable in biological condition and showed longer gene expression in various tissues.
