The intestinal absorption of LHRH and leuprolide was determined in rats from various lipid polymer micelle formulations. Upon intraduodenal administration of LHRH or leuprolide consistent and reproducible pharmacokinetics was obtained with a mean relative bioavailability of about 10 and 28%, respectively. There was a dose dependence of LHRH and leuprolide absorption.
