Peroral drug delivery systems for insulin based on the electrostatic formation of nanocomplexes between a novel class of positively charged comb-like polyesters and negatively charged insulin were investigated with regard to cytotoxicity, peptide uptake and transport through Caco-2 cell monolayers.
