A new oospecies of troodontid eggs: Prismatoolithus heyuanensis sp. nov. is erected on the basis of the following characters: outer surface of the eggshell is sculptured with small pits; there is a discernable boundary between the mammillary layer and the prismatic layer; the thickness ratio between the prismatic layer and the mammillary layer is approximately 3.3:1; and the inner surface of the eggshell shows abundant small openings. This is the second oospecies of troodontid eggs from southern China, and it is different from Prismatoolithus hukouensis, which was found in the Nanxiong Basin of Guangdong Province.
