A new method for high accuracy edge measurement using low resolution CCD detector has been proposed, by using which the limit to edge measurement accuracy given by the gaps of CCD cell scan be greatly over taken. This paper presents in detail a new method for obtaining the edge of bullet from the image shot by a high speed camera system. The substance of method is that the image of bullet is blurred by the combined action of interpolation algorithm and median filtering algorithm. The edge of bullet can be obtained accurately by dynamic arithmetic operators.
