Multi-hop vehicle ad-hoc networks are a substantial part of future safety systems. Information about dangerous spots must be delivered fast and reliable to the affected vehicles. The huge number of possible vehicle constellations and hazard scenarios brings complex requirements for the applied algorithms. Routing decisions depend from the application itself, the traffic scenario and geographical parameters. Previous proposals bring insights on single aspects (spatial [6], efficiency [11], [12]). Before this background the paper describes the particular requirements to a dissemination protocol for hazard messages and classifies common protocols. Finally an adapted solution is discussed.
