摘要

The need for implementing renewables in Romania, is supported at national and European level but steps forward must be done in R&D and technology transfer, in human resources development, in rising the awareness of population and companies on the benefits of the clean energies. Sensing these, the Center Product Design for Sustainable Development in the Transilvania University of Brasov has developed a coherent plant, for developing training and research facilities on solar-thermal and solar PVs. In 2007 a grid connected PV 10 kWp array will be installed on the roof of the Center's building, integrated in the architecture of the University campus. This 48 poly-crystalline PV system contains 3 identically groups, with the PVs serially connected. The system design has a certain flexibility degree, allowing changes in the tilt angle and the extension/replacement of the silicon PV groups with other type of PVs (CIS, amorphous silicon). The array has own meteo-station and, combining the weather data with the monitored PV data, the real design input data can be assessed. The system is also open as education and training laboratory for students and for adults (as in-service training for high school teachers and to individuals, companies, etc. according to their needs).
